Please plan to attend the Lake Forest Yacht Club Annual Meeting, at which the election will be held. The meeting is December 2, 2011 at
8:00pm. A quorum must be reached by 8:15pm. As per the By-Laws, all members must be "in good standing" to vote --meaning the property's
Master Lease and the 1st half of Membership Dues billed 10/1/11 must be paid. Absentee ballots must be received at the LFYC Office by
Thursday, December 1st, 2011. They may be mailed to LFYC, P.O. Box 217, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849 or dropped off at the LFYC Office
prior to deadline. There will be no allowances for reception of absentee ballots after this time.
My name is Keith Beaudoin. My wife, Marianne, and I moved to Lake Forest eleven
years ago and shortly thereafter became club members. We have two children, Morgan
and Aiden, who enjoy going to the club for the various activities the club offers.
We joined LFYC for its friendly community atmosphere and its numerous family
activities. Over the past eleven years, I have seen great improvements to the club's
facilities due to the efforts of past and present trustees and the club volunteers, and I
would like to see that continue.
Currently, I work for GAF Corporation specializing in database and project
management. As a prospective trustee, I would work at continuing to update the
facilities for members to enjoy. Furthermore, I would be open to suggestions from the
LFYC community regarding future improvements and activities
My name is Phil Schiff. My wife, Loralee, and I have lived in Lake Forest and have been a member of the club since 1974, except for 3 years in the early 1990s, when we made the mistake of accepting a job relocation to
Virginia. We couldn’t wait to return to Lake Forest, where we had raised our two children, who are now grown and have children of their own.
During the late 1970s and early 1980s, Loralee and I were heavily involved in the club, serving as social chairpersons for a couple of years and assisting with other activities and events. Theseincluded 7 dances a year, a regatta, a 4th of July play, and too many other things to mention. I also served on the Board of Trustees for 4 years, two of which were as commodore. I have a great love for this community and have seen it change for the better over the years. As a trustee I would work to further improve the facilities and make sure the traditions, that make Lake Forest a great
place to live, continue.
My name is Andrew Egan and I’ve been a member of LFYC only since April after moving on
to Ripplewood Drive. I grew up a member of the Mt. Arlington Knolls Beach Club and am
excited to be back on the Lake with my wife Valerie and mom, Patricia. Both my children
are grown and out of the home, but they visit often to enjoy the lake.
I was President of the Barry Lakes Homeowners Association in Vernon about ten years ago,
which consisted of 600 homes, 2 lakes, a clubhouse, and 11 miles of self-maintained roads. I
currently contribute to the Shongum Sportsman Association where I conduct club safety
orientations every few months.
I am very good working with people and feel it’s important to be involved in your
community. I am willing to put the time and effort to keep LFYC the best community on the
lake.
